The Wayland Partnership and Wayland Chamber of Commerce came together to organise the 15th annual Wayland Farmhouse Breakfast event on Friday 29th January. The event is part of a national campaign run by the Home Grown Cereals Authority to support farmers and local produce. Our purpose in holding the event has always been to promote local food, local farming and local tourism.
Over 30 businesses met over a fantastic local breakfast at Broom Hall Hotel in Saham Toney to promote what they do, suggest events and activities for the future that would bring more day/stay visitors to the area and to comment on what happens already.
The breakfast also saw the launch of the 2016 ‘Welcome to Wayland’ Brochure which will be distributed through libraries, tourist information centres, accommodation providers and tourism destinations across Wayland, the Brecks and beyond. In addition to the established events, the programme celebrates the wonderful artistic creativity in our area.
