COMMUNITY PROJECTS

The Wayland Partnership bids for funding to deliver a number of community projects across Wayland. Over the years, we've successfully generated over £3million in funding for the area. See below for our current community projects:

Our community fridge project (the first ever in Norfolk) is transforming the way Wayland thinks about food waste. Businesses and residents donate food they no longer need, and then other local people come along and collect what they need. For free!

The HAPPY Project, funded by the People’s Health Trust, aims to meet the needs of isolated and lonely people in our area as well as some of the villages

Wayland Heritage Group

The Wayland Partnership Heritage Group is made up of members from the village history groups and other interested individuals.  The aim is to support these groups in their local research, provide a network of information sharing, and enable Wayland-wide projects.

Jobs & Skills

The Partnership has a number of opportunities to support people looking for work or to develop new skills. These include a biannual Jobs and Skills Fair, a Jobs in Wayland Facebook page, and a work experience partnership with Job Centre Plus in Dereham.
