We are delighted (and very excited!) to announce that we have received £17,000 of funding from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, through the Postcode Local Trust, to transform our big, empty concrete yard at Wayland House into a Memory Garden: a beautiful, secure sensory garden for people with dementia and their carers. We’ll be working with the volunteers and users of the Memory Café to design the garden and make sure it reflects the needs of its beneficiaries. We’ll be starting this project in the new year and will be recruiting someone to coordinate it all in the next few weeks. There will be lots of ways for the local community to get involved, so please keep a lookout for updates!
