We are recruiting for the following position:

Memory Garden Project Coordinator

Part-time: 12 hours a week until November 2018  (£11 an hour)

Do you have project management experience? Are you good at influencing people and working with volunteers? Are you passionate about working in the local community? The Wayland Partnership is looking for a dynamic Project Coordinator to lead our work in delivering our new Memory Garden project, funded by the Postcode Local Trust.

We’re looking for someone experienced in delivering projects on time and within budget, ready to take the lead as we transform our empty concrete yard into a sensory garden for people living with dementia and their carers. As well as working with the volunteers and users of our Memory Café to design the garden, you’ll need to be able to recruit new volunteers and build relationships with local businesses such as garden centres.

The Wayland Partnership Development Trust seeks to deliver the cultural, economic, environmental and social development of Wayland (the market town of Watton and the 13 surrounding parishes). We are responsible for a number of diverse projects that further these aims, from Norfolk’s first ever community fridge and a Men’s Shed to a business centre, an award-winning conservation project and community gallery.

This is an exciting time to join an organisation committed to transformation and with a track record of delivering exciting community projects.  The Memory Garden will transform Wayland House as a community destination, as well as provide a vital service for people living with dementia and their carers.

This is a part-time role (12 hours a week) until November 2018. You’ll be based at our friendly offices in Watton, Norfolk.
