Bronwen Tyler
Chair of Trustees from 2019 and founder member of the Wayland Partnership, representing Thompson, becoming one of the original board of trustees in 1999. Lead trustee on the Partnership Heritage projects. Passionate about local and family history. Has a history degree with the Open University and qualified as a history teacher with additional Special Needs qualifications. Taught for the Norfolk Visiting Teacher Service, Notre Dame Norwich, and Wayland High School, eventually becoming Special Needs Co-ordinator at Wayland. Awarded the BEM for community service in 2020.
Dr. David Dent FRSB
David is a scientist entrepreneur who has invented and commercialised a number of technologies related to sustainable alternatives to pesticides and fertilisers. He invented the process to round-up transactions at point of sale PIN terminals, generating and disbursing >£1 million/year to UK charities through the Pennies Foundation that he founded. He is also a former Governor of the Surrey Borders NHS Trust, a founder Trustee of the Sustainable Nitrogen Foundation, Vice Chair of the Wayland Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Wayland Academy Committee. David leads for the Partnership and the Chamber on the development of the new Wayland digital business, community and leisure centre.
Elaine Banks
Myself, my husband and two dogs moved from Hertfordshire in 2020 to Watton. I joined the Wayland Trust to use the skills obtained in my working life to benefit the Wayland community and hopefully make a positive difference.
I retired in July last year after working for many years in the Insurance Industry specialising in Risk and Compliance working for both large firms such as Aviva and Directline and smaller insurance brokers. I have qualifications from the Institute of Risk Management , International Compliance Association and The Chartered insurance Institute.
Tony Powell
A Norfolk man, born and breed in the Fens, I spent almost 40years in the army serving around the world with The Royal Anglian Regiment returning to Norfolk in 2001 to take up an MOD appointment at Stanford Training Area. Although involved with a number of military charities I wanted to contribute to the local community that had welcomed me and my family to the area and therefore joined the Wayland Partnership Trust as a Trustee.
Roger Harrold
One of the first trustees in 1999, a parish councillor for Saham and very active in the village in other organisations.
